Rari DAO

Overview

In August 2023, RARI DAO launched the Delegate Launchpad Programarrow-up-right to onboard and empower governance participants. The initiative provides selected delegates with temporary voting power, enabling them to actively contribute to RARI DAO’s decision-making.

To further support delegate retention and governance participation, Delegation Incentives Programarrow-up-right was introduced in Q4 2023. This initiative provided direct incentives to both delegates and delegators, aiming to strengthen governance engagement and decentralization efforts.

Following two successful cohorts, the program continues to evolve, with adjustments in delegation structure and participation incentives to enhance governance engagement.

Compensation Structure & Eligibility

Initial Launchpad Cohorts

  • Cohort 1 (Aug 2023 – Feb 2024)

    • 15 delegates received 2,000 veRARI each for six months.

    • Delegation linearly decreased after three months.

  • Cohort 2 (Feb 2024 – Aug 2024)

    • Maintained the same structure as Cohort 1.

    • Prior cohort participants were encouraged to seek independent delegations.

Updated Program (Cohort 3 – Oct 2024 – Apr 2025arrow-up-right)

  • Tiered Delegation Model:

    • Tier 1: 3,000 veRARI – High-impact governance contributors.

    • Tier 3: 500 veRARI – New or smaller delegates.

  • Eligibility Criteria:

    • Proven governance engagement (proposal discussions, voting participation).

    • Minimum 60% on-chain voting rate required.

    • Delegates must publicly share voting rationales in the DAO forum.

  • The DAO is reviewing new incentive models to enhance retention and increase governance activity.

Implementation Plan & Timeline

  • Q3 2023 – RRC-9: Delegate Launchpad Program approved and executed.

  • Q1 2024 – Cohort 2 launched with refined delegate selection criteria.

  • Q4 2024 – Cohort 3 launches, potentially incorporating tiered delegation.
